I am originally from NC, where I have done many things including teaching yoga, teaching English to elementary schoolers, tutoring, acting in plays, making specialty coffee drinks, and having adventures with my husband and 2 dogs. I discovered Bikram Yoga in 2010 at BYD. I was teaching ESL at a local elementary school and spending a lot of my spare time running. There was something about the discipline and intensity of Bikram's yoga series that hooked me. Getting a good sweat wasn't so bad either! I have been practicing regularly ever since. Sure, I still run, hike, and do other things too, but I know this yoga will be a part of me forever. It is so much more than exercise. In the fall of 2013, I attended Bikram Yoga Teacher Training, and now have the privilege of sharing this amazing yoga with our community. To me, the most beautiful thing about this yoga is how it facilitates balance in whatever way the practitioner needs it. If your strong, it helps you gain flexibility. If your flexible, it helps you gain strength. If your prone to anxiety, it will calm you. If your prone to laziness, it will give you energy. I could go on all day, so why don't you come in and see for yourself all of the wonderful benefits of this practice.
